Linz, 31.08.2023: After several years in the industry, the three founders Florian Bauernfeind, Florian Haslhofer and David Gumpinger have recognized the challenges of the industry in terms of digitalization and have been developing the "Digital Customer Platform" (DCP) since 2017.

"Maschinenbauer's core competence lies in developing qualitative, mechatronic systems, which are sold internationally. However, IoT and cloud software development is increasingly presenting them with major challenges," explains Florian Bauernfeind.

Autonoma supports machine and plant manufacturers in the digitalization of their products and processes. From machine data acquisition, via the cloud platform, app on the mobile device to digital service for commissioning, maintenance and support. All functions of the digital customer platform (DCP) can be operated and expanded by existing employees themselves, without the need for specialized IT staff and technical know-how.

"With our scalable technology platform, machine builders are thus able to implement digital projects within days instead of months to years and expand their business model with digital services," says David Gumpinger.

In addition to the investment from eQventure, Autonoma secures a silent partnership from the Upper Austrian Kreditgarantiegesellschaft m.b.H. (UBG) and a research program from the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).

"Autonoma solves a problem that both operators and manufacturers of complex industrial machines and plants have. The more machines, the bigger the problem: proactive maintenance and servicing, utilization optimization, monitoring, and much more. The three founders Florian, Florian and David know these customer pains first-hand and ensure with their hardware-software solution that the wheel does not have to be continuously reinvented for each machine and customer.

In turn, eQventure provides the three founders with sparring partners who all have company formation, G2M, growth and exit behind them and also benefit from our broad and international network," adds Franz Fuchsberger, Senior Partner at eQventure and Lead Investor at Autonoma.

Several machine and plant manufacturers already rely on Autonoma's digital customer platform (DCP). The funding will primarily be used to drive further market development and internationalization. In addition, research and development into the implementation of AI models directly on industrial machines is being carried out via the FFG basic program together with the AI partners Danube Dynamics Embedded Systems GmbH and the Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH).
